What is a Sailor, and what does it do?
Sailors are crew members for your ship, and their function is to buff different functions or actions of your ship and/or aircraft.
There are many different types of sailors, which allows you to custom build your ships ability quite uniquely to your own style of playing.
You can change the sailors you have assigned to your ship at any time if you decide to try something different.
Be sure to go to the games Store daily, to the Crew section and collect your free sailors everyday.

How to develop your sailor, and make him/her more powerful
There are two aspects to increasing your sailors power.
1. Increasing it’s level
2. Upgrade its rank (Number of stars)
1. How to increase a sailors level
First you must assign sailors to your ship. This is done by selecting your ship, then selecting the crew function, pressing the “Click to select sailor” and selecting a sailor from the list of sailors you have available. (Be sure to collect your free sailors everyday from the Store. Everyday you are given 5 that you must claim one at a time)
Once you have assigned a crew of sailors to your ship, simply using that ship in battle will slowly add experience to the level of your sailors level. At the end of each battle you will be taken to a scorecard for the battle that has three sections. You are first shown your individual score for the battle, if you move to the sailor tab it will show you all the sailors on your ship, and also show you their current levels, and how much they they received towards moving to the next level.
You can also increase your sailors level, much faster, by doing missions. You must have available fuel in order to do missions, and each mission requires a different amount of fuel to do them. There is also two ways to do missions. You can actually do the mission, or you can use skip/sweep tickets which will automatically do the mission for you as many times as you want, or have the fuel and/or tickets to do.
You will also find important items in these missions which you will need in order to upgrade your sailors. If you excel in a battle, you may be given an item or sailor, but missions is the place guaranteed to find the upgrade items you will need, and skip/sweeping them tends to have a better yield of upgrade winnings.
Constant use of your sailor will increase its level. Using skip/Sweep tickets on missions will accomplish this much faster, while gaining you valuable items needed for upgrading your sailor.
Upgrading the maximum levels of your sailors (level 30 to 35, then to level 40 and 45)
This is where having the upgrade items becomes important.
When you do your missions, you will see each mission offers a different type of reward. After you have done your missions, go to your inventory (found on the right side of your screen above your mailbox) and press the refresh button at the top of the inventory. This will bring the chests you have just earned usually to the first page of your inventory. Then find the chests that you have earned during those missions, select them, and press the ’Use’ button, select Max (This will use all of them at once, saving time unless you want to do one at a time) and it will show you all the items you just earned from those chests. These items will be added to your inventory.
Now, let’s talk about how to use these items you’ve won.
The first time you will have to actually increase a sailors level ability is when it reaches level 30. It can go no further until you Level Boost’it.
In the example you will see a sailor getting close to reaching level 30. It will not be able to gain anymore experience until you have boosted it. Level Boosting allows it to continue gaining experience to the next level cap, in this case as it is at level 30 the next level cap would be level 35.
To Level Boost the sailor, press the Level Boost tab on the sailor you have selected. It must be at the maximum level allowed in order to Level Boost. You will see on the right side of the sailors card the materials needed in order to perform the Level Boost. The amount you have in inventory will be the number on the left, the amount needed to perform the Level Boost is the number on the right.
There is also a cost of silver for performing this action, but it is a small amount so don’t worry.
If you have enough materials available, silver on hand and you are at the maximum level currently allowed, you can successfully press the Boost button
At this point, you have successfully performed a Level Boost on your sailor. Now, take a look at your sailor and press the Level Boost tab again and look to see what upgrade items you will need for your next Level Boost of this sailor.
2. Upgrade the rank of your Sailor
Different sailors can hold different ranks, and a categorized by color to represent the maximum rank they can Upgrade to.
White Sailors cannot be upgraded - Max Rank 1 Star
Green Sailors can Upgrade - Max Rank 2 Stars
Blue Sailors can Upgrade - Max Rank 3 Stars
Purple Sailors can Upgrade - Max Rank 4 Stars
Orange Sailors can Upgrade - Max Rank 5 Stars
Increasing the rank of your sailor is very important for the following reason.
It will increase the buff of the sailor at its current level.
Example:
A rank 1 Sailor Cathy has an absolute sight range but of .75%, a rank 2 Sailor Cathy has an absolute sight range buff of 1.0%
Increasing your sailors rank will change the level of upgrade items needed to perform the next level upgrade, which is important for the following reasons.
This will allow you to perform more higher level missions to gather the upgrade items needed which will give your ship more experience points per mission.
Performing higher level missions will give the nation of the ship you are using more experience and move it up faster.
Here is how you Upgrade a sailors rank. For this example we use a 1 Star Blue Sailor, and make it 2 stars.
You must have 2 Sailors that are at 1 Star. Select one of those Sailors (We suggest if you have one that is at a higher level, you use that one to Upgrade) and press the Upgrade button on the Sailor card.
To the right you will see a box with a + symbol inside it. Press that box, and you will be shown all the Sailors available to use to perform the Upgrade.
Press the Sailor you would like to use and press Confirm
You will return to the Sailors Detail Card, once you are sure you want to perform the Upgrade, press the Upgrade button at the bottom right of the Sailor Details card.
Now the Sailor that you used to perform the upgrade has ‘merged’ with the Sailor you wanted to upgrade, and together they became one Sailor. In this case, they became a 2 Star Sailor.
The process is the same when going from a 2 Star Sailor to a 3 Star Sailor, except instead of needing 2 Sailors of the same Rank, you need 3.
